Asia Motion was established in November 2008. We launched our Agency 5years ago during Phnom Penh photo Festival in December 2008. To celebrate our 5 years of existence, Asia Motion will introduce you the stories of 2 visual artists every month until our 5 year +1 anniversary in December 2014.
Asia Motion is hoping to present you a book also for this event in 2015 and a collective exhibition in Europe in 2015.

Isabelle Lesser is an independent Belgian photo-journalist, director and founder of Asia Motion, producer and agent based in Phnom Penh Cambodia since 2003.

An experienced photographer in Cambodia ,Isabelle Lesser is someone who holds the camera with passion and fun.
Specializing in Press and Social photography,Isabelle produced many different photo assignments for a variety of local and International NGO's ,
she is also adept with Fashion and specific commercial photography projects.

Since 2003 she worked in Cambodia, India, Ivory Coast and Belgium as a photographer with more than 50 different clients in various fields including Press,NGO, Editorial/Mag,Promotion,Fashion and Advertising. Example of clients includes : Louvain Development, French Red Cross, AFP, Bates, Handicap International Belgium, UNICEF, UNDP, GERES, Asia Foundation, The Wire magazine, Oxfam America, ASMAE/India, Coll.Part, Coca Cola,
Danida, PSE, Krousar Thmey, Cambodia Daily, PADAC, The Phnom Penh Post, La Libre Belgique and many more.

Her photographs from events in Cambodia, South East Asia have appeared in publications including The Bangkok Post, The Wire Magazine, Cambodge Soir, The New York Times, the Boston Globe and several local American newspapers.Isabelle Lesser worked with the biggest international photo agencies like AFP and AP. Isabelle have extensive experience with transmitting photos and reports from remote location and to collaborate with clients based World Wide.

Finally Isabelle is currently specializing in Art and Photography workshops for children. She is a Photovoice-trained participatory photography project facilitator and was trained by Anthony Asael, the founder of Art in all of us, to give art and photography workshops.

The French Red Cross has appealed Isabelle to stimulate the creativity of several groups of children in Ivory Coast and Cambodia as part of the psychosocial program in 2013.
Further more Unicef Cambodia has appealed Isabelle to give Art and photography workshops in 2014.The workshops were conducted around the theme of child rights (survival, development, protection and participation) to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in November 2014. An exhibition was born in November 2014,100 photographs were exposed in Wat Bothum square in Phnom Penh Cambodia to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights. Isabelle curated the exhibition in collaboration with the IFC (Institut Francaise du Cambodge).

The working tool during these activities is fun photography and art in general as workshops and curriculum established by Art in All of Us in more than 2,200 schools in the world.

Isabelle is also responsible to document the workshop with pictures and for the training of facilitators and staff so they can continue these activities after her departure.

Convention on the Rights of the Child 25th anniversary

20 November 2014 marks the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), which established a set of fundamental rights for all children and young people: to survive, develop, be protected from violence, abuse and neglect, and take part in family, cultural and social life.
In Cambodia, UNICEF collaborated with Belgian photographer Isabelle Lesser’s Asia Motion to host 3 workshops for 150 children, aged 7 – 13, to create awareness of their rights and provide opportunities for them to express their views and ideas using a curriculum established by Art in All of Us.
The art and photography workshops were held in August 2014 in Battambang, Siem Reap and Kampong Cham.
UNICEF has worked with the Institut Français du Cambodge to create a public exhibition of the children’s creative work in Phnom Penh.
